If you are related to a sponsor such as sister, brother, aunt, uncle and you are financially and emotionally dependent upon a relative in the UK who is a British Citizen or holds ILR status , you can apply for a dependant visa.
A dependant relative will need to show:
- Your relationship with the sponsor is in the accepted category
- You are financially and emotionally dependent upon the sponsor
- There is consistent contact between you and the sponsor.
Your sponsor will need to show that he or she is able to provide you with accommodation and financial support during your stay in the UK.
